Ready-mixed mortar

Masonry and plastering mortar, as an important component of the commercialization of building materials, plays a crucial role in the process. High-quality mortar should possess excellent workability, allowing for smooth application without sticking to the trowel, sufficient working time, and ease of leveling. In modern mechanized construction, mortar must also exhibit excellent pumpability to prevent layering and blockages. Hardened mortar should exhibit excellent strength and surface quality, with appropriate compressive strength, good durability, and no hollows or cracks.

Max cellulose ether's superior water retention properties reduce moisture absorption by porous substrates, promoting full hydration of the cementitious materials. This is particularly beneficial during large-scale construction, effectively reducing the risk of early cracking and enhancing bond strength. Its thickening effect improves the wetting properties of wet mortar on the substrate, stabilizes the moist mortar, reduces or prevents layering and bleeding, enhances the lubricity and rheological properties of the mortar, thereby improving pumpability and reducing construction labor intensity. The modified cellulose ether also provides essential anti-sagging performance during thick-layer application, shortening construction time and reducing material waste.

Wet-mixed mortar is a mixture of cement, fine aggregate, admixtures (primarily cellulose ether), water, and other performance-regulating components, which are mixed in a batching plant according to specific proportions, transported to the construction site via a mixer truck, stored in dedicated containers, and must be used within a specified timeframe.

The primary distinction between mechanically sprayed mortar and traditionally site-mixed mortar lies in the incorporation of additives such as Max cellulose ether to optimize mortar performance, enabling freshly mixed mortar to exhibit excellent workability and high water retention. Even after long-distance or high-rise pumping, it maintains superior workability. Mechanical sprayed mortar offers high construction efficiency and superior quality of the finished mortar. Due to the high initial velocity of the mortar during spraying, it adheres firmly to the substrate, effectively reducing the occurrence of hollows and cracks.
